This was a custom designed intranet site with the goal of finding balance between providing users with quick access to the tools they need & using it as a communication tool for employee engagement. Because intranet homepages carry out so many different functions, sometimes there is the temptation to pack a lot of information into a homepage. This can result in a cluttered & even overwhelming user experience that can be off-putting, so it was important to acheive the dashboard layout design the client was leaning towards without overloading the user. The client also wanted the ability to have an email notification sent to employees when they have a new employee article or communication posted.

Digital Style Guide

Part of the process of creating concepts is building a Digital Style Guide to use as a resource showing the different components available when building out pages to ensure the site has a consistent look & feel.
